PERSONAL INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE HOPe AFRICA USA INAUGURAL HUMANITARIAN EVENT — AND EXPLORE A LONG-TERM CREATIVE & HUMANITARIAN PARTNERSHIP
KANSAS CITY, MO / LUSAKA, ZAMBIA — August 26, 2026 — HOPe Africa International, a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a friendly society for all, proudly announces the launch of its inaugural Zambia–USA Monthly Inclusive Donations & Birthday Celebration Initiative.
The flagship pilot event is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the Umoyo Widows and Orphanage Center (UWAOC) in Lusaka, Zambia.
Operating under the core guiding philosophy, “Create Abilities Over Disabilities,” the initiative is designed to restore dignity, emotional wellness, social inclusion, and hope to vulnerable children, widows, disadvantaged women, caregivers, and underserved families. This milestone launch marks the beginning of a structured 12-month pilot program featuring monthly community gatherings, essential resource distribution, birthday celebrations, and sustainable impact monitoring.
The programme is locally coordinated in Zambia by Ms. Delphine Lengwe, HOPe Africa USA Representative and Humanitarian Advocate, with valued stakeholder support from the Zambia Diaspora Chamber of Commerce (ZDCC).
As part of this launch, HOPe Africa International has extended an open invitation to emerging creative talent and image-maker Ms. Bwalya Faith, aiming to bridge international humanitarian efforts with authentic local storytelling. By inviting creative professionals to document and engage with the mission, HOPe Africa ensures that the voices, resilience, and true dignity of the beneficiaries are captured and communicated with utmost respect and professional depth.
Building Long-Term International Partnerships
Executive Director of HOPe Africa International, Dr. Francis Fagjot John, PhD, emphasized that the initiative is structured to foster mutual growth and grassroots empowerment.
“Humanitarian work should not only provide immediate assistance; it should create platforms through which people discover, develop, and demonstrate their abilities,” stated Dr. John. “By linking international diaspora support with local Zambian leadership and creative talent, we are building a sustainable model that nurtures professional growth while uplifting vulnerable communities.”
The September 5 inaugural event will feature welcoming remarks, beneficiary recognition, milestone birthday celebrations, resource sharing, group photography, and media interviews. HOPe Africa International invites local community leaders, media partners, and stakeholders to support and participate in this transformative movement as it expands its footprint from Lusaka across the region.
