HOPe Africa International Launches Flagship Zambia–USA Monthly Inclusive Donations and Birthday Celebration Initiative in Lusaka

Infusing dignity, joy, and profound human connection into community development under the
core philosophy: “Create Abilities Over Disabilities.”

KANSAS CITY, MO / LUSAKA, ZAMBIA — August 26, 2026 — HOPe Africa International proudly announces the official launch of its inaugural Zambia–USA Monthly Inclusive Donations & Birthday Celebration Initiative. The flagship pilot event will take place on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the Umoyo Widows and Orphanage Center (UWAOC) in Lusaka, Zambia.

Operating under the banner of Creating a Friendly Society for All, this landmark initiative is designed to
restore dignity, emotional wellness, social inclusion, hope, and happiness to vulnerable children, widows,
disadvantaged women, caregivers, and underserved families. The pilot program is locally coordinated by
Ms. Delphine Lengwe, HOPe Africa USA Representative and Humanitarian Advocate in Zambia, with
vital stakeholder support from the Zambia Diaspora Chamber of Commerce (ZDCC).

THE POWER OF A CELEBRATION
A birthday may appear to be a small event. But imagine a child who has never had a meaningful
birthday celebration. Imagine elderly widow whose birthday has passed quietly for years.
Imagine a caregiver who spends every day caring for others but rarely receives recognition.
For them, a cake is not merely a cake. A card is not merely a card. A song is not merely a song. It
becomes a message:

Bridging International Resources with Local Creative Talent
In addition to essential goods distribution and community relief, HOPe Africa International is pioneering a collaborative model that bridges international diaspora support with local Zambian leadership and creative talent. As part of this launch, the organization has extended an open invitation to emerging creative personality and image-maker Ms. Bwalya Faith to explore a long-term humanitarian partnership. By engaging local storytellers and creative professionals, HOPe Africa ensures that the voices, resilience, and true dignity of program beneficiaries are captured and communicated with utmost respect, professional depth, and emotional authenticity. This approach turns community outreach into a shared platform for professional growth and narrative empowerment.

A Sustainable 12-Month Pilot Vision
The September 5 gathering marks the beginning of a structured 12-month pilot program. Featuring monthly activities including milestone birthday celebrations, inclusive resource distribution, feedback loops, and monitoring—the initiative aims to establish a sustainable model capable of expanding from Lusaka to other communities across Zambia and, ultimately, throughout Africa. HOPe Africa International invites local community leaders, media partners, stakeholders, and supporters to join this transformative launch event at the Umoyo Widows and Orphanage Center. Together, we celebrate life, build hope, and strengthen communities.
