Rising Afrobeat sensation NYcee, under the banner of KuliKuli Entertainment, has taken a bold step in humanitarian work, leading HOPe Africa’s 10 Million Sanitary Pad Campaign. This critical initiative aims to tackle period poverty across rural Africa, ensuring that young girls and women have access to proper menstrual hygiene products. Alongside her humanitarian efforts, NYcee has also dropped her latest Afrobeat release, “Poco Party”, an exciting new track that promises to get everyone dancing.
“Poco Party” – A Global Afrobeat Hit
In addition to her humanitarian focus, NYcee is making waves with her newest track, “Poco Party.” Produced by a team of talented music professionals from the United States, United Kingdom, and Nigeria, the song delivers an exceptional Afrobeat vibe. The Nigerian team contributed to the Afrobeat mix, bringing an authentic sound that’s rooted in the genre, while the U.S. and U.K. teams enhanced the track’s international appeal with acrostic engineering compliance and a soothing finish. The result? A smooth blend of catchy rhythms and easy-to-follow lyrics that make “Poco Party” perfect for any dance floor.
“This track is all about motivating people to have fun, relax, and dance to the rhythm of life. It’s a great soundtrack for celebration, and the energy it brings is contagious,” says NYcee. “Whether you’re a fan of Afrobeat or just looking for something to vibe to, ‘Poco Party’ has the perfect blend of upbeat tempo and smooth melodies for all dance steps.”
Leading the Charge Against Period Poverty
NYcee’s passion for the 10 Million Sanitary Pad Campaign is deeply personal. “Female artists like me understand this struggle. That’s why I’m calling on fellow artists, starting with my favorite, Rihanna, and other female musicians in Nigeria and around the world, to join me in fulfilling this measurable mission. These girls are facing heartbreaking situations, unable to afford sanitary pads and forced to use unhealthy alternatives. We must do more,” she said with conviction.
The PadAid Campaign, which is part of the HOPe Africa initiative, aims to provide 10 million sanitary pads to young girls and women in rural Africa who lack access to these essential products. NYcee is rallying both small and large organizations, alongside humanitarian groups, to come together and address the challenges these vulnerable girls face.
“It’s shocking that in a world of surplus, these young girls are still forced to make unhealthy choices during their menstrual cycles. We are committed to breaking this cycle, and I plan to take this advocacy to the United Nations and to sanitary pad manufacturers worldwide to gain more support,” NYcee added.
A Call to Action: Join the Movement
NYcee is urging fans, influencers, and everyone moved by this cause to share, comment, link, and follow this campaign. “We need millions of followers to amplify this message and turn it into a fundraising force,” she stressed. “With everyone’s support, we can make sure no girl is left behind because of something as natural as her period.”
NYcee closed by reaffirming her belief that the Girl Child must continue to attend school, and she is confident that this program, supported globally, will change lives for the better.
