This is an editorial assessment, not an election prediction or an official government performance rating.

1. Infrastructure: One of the strongest elements of the current record

One of the most consequential recent developments is the Federal Government’s commencement of reconstruction of the 122.89-kilometre Kaduna–Mando–Birnin Gwari corridor, reportedly valued at approximately ₦178.116 billion.

The project is being presented as an important economic and security corridor, connecting Kaduna with Niger State and opening access toward other parts of Nigeria.

The response from Birnin Gwari leadership has been particularly notable.

The local government chairman described the project as a historic intervention and credited President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani for their commitment to security, infrastructure and socioeconomic development.

Federal Government funding should not automatically be presented as a state-government achievement.

The 2026 budget reportedly included ₦100 million for each of Kaduna’s 255 political wards, a policy described as a significant grassroots intervention.

The administration has also emphasized infrastructure across the state’s 23 local government areas.

Earlier reporting from Kaduna State indicated a programme involving 140 roads across the 23 LGAs, totaling approximately 1,335 kilometres.

This approach is politically significant because it attempts to shift the development narrative from concentration around Kaduna metropolis toward a wider geographic footprint.

For Governor Uba Sani’s administration, security is therefore not simply another line on a performance scorecard. It is an enabling condition for virtually every other development objective and remains under continuous observation, engagement and response.

The administration’s approach increasingly emphasizes advocacy, collaboration with security agencies, engagement with stakeholders, community-level interventions and seeking additional support whenever necessary. The objective is to ensure that security gains are sustained and that remaining challenges are addressed proactively.

The ultimate test will be whether these continuing efforts translate into safer communities, greater freedom of movement, productive farming, stronger investment confidence and the full realization of infrastructure and agricultural projects already underway.

Security remains one of the administration’s most important continuing priorities. While the situation is still evolving and requires sustained intervention, Governor Uba Sani’s increasing focus, stakeholder engagement and advocacy demonstrate that the issue remains firmly on the government’s agenda. The work is ongoing, and the final measure of success will be the durability of improved security and its ability to unlock the full economic and social benefits of Kaduna’s development program.

This is the area where the administrations capacity is increasingly demonstrated to meet every test.

8. The communications dimension: Ben Kure and KSMC

The reference to Ben Kure, Managing Director of Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC) deserves accolade treatment.

Kure’s appointment as KSMC Managing Director was made by Governor Uba Sani in August 2025. Contemporary reports described him as bringing public-communication and political-strategy experience to the corporation. There is also evidence of his public advocacy concerning the administration’s elevated performance. However, TipsNews should distinguish KSMC’s institutional role from independent editorial judgment. That distinction actually strengthens interactions and evidence.
