🌍 Kansas City, Missouri,
Kansas City, Missouri – In an unprecedented moment of global reflection and tribute, TipsNews, under the leadership of American Media Consultants, is proud to announce the first-ever “Martin Luther King Global Town Crier Media Award.” This honorary distinction is designed to commemorate the declassified revelation of assassination-related documents and to reaffirm Dr. King’s unshakable legacy 60 years after his tragic death.
This monumental award recognizes Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. not only as a civil rights leader and global moral icon but as a timeless media figure whose voice, words, and image shaped generations and moved continents. It represents a collective salute from the Black diaspora, civil rights communities, churches, educators, policymakers, and freedom lovers across the globe.
“This is a memorial not of mourning, but of legacy, truth, and closure. It is high time the world stands still and re-honors the greatest dreamer with the light of declassified truth,” said Francis Fagjot John, Editor-in-Chief of TipsNews, and a global voice for diasporic equity and justice.
🔔 Why This Award Now?
With the recent release of U.S. government documents surrounding the circumstances of MLK’s assassination, long-suppressed truths are finally surfacing. While many suspected foul play and deep-state interference, the declassification confirms much of what Black America and the world silently carried for decades.
In the spirit of truth, reconciliation, and global harmony, this Global Town Crier Media Award is aimed at restoring dignity, clarity, and public remembrance—not just for the King family, but for the soul of humanity and for the oppressed everywhere.
🎖️ A Legacy of Words, Deeds, and Destiny
Dr. King’s legacy transcends national boundaries. From the steps of the Lincoln Memorial where he declared “I Have a Dream”, to receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, and being memorialized in the U.S. Capitol and National Mall, MLK’s influence has remained evergreen.
But what the world sometimes forgets is how media was his primary weapon—through newspapers, radio, and televised speeches, King penetrated living rooms and hearts in a time when Black voices were muffled. He mastered messaging without algorithms, yet his presence remains more viral than today’s top influencers.
From leading the Montgomery Bus Boycott, to writing “Letter from Birmingham Jail,” to bearing the burden of assassination attempts and FBI surveillance—MLK paid the price for liberation through his life, blood, and brilliance.
🕊️ A Time for Healing and Honor
The award ceremony is scheduled for August 2025, with an official presentation to be made to the King family and foundation, accompanied by representatives of civil rights groups, churches, diplomats, educators, and diaspora leaders. It will also include a Mass Media Town Prayer & Candlelight Vigil in Kansas City and virtually across continents.
📣 A Challenge to the World’s Media and Celebrities
We call upon:
- Black media houses across the globe
- African and Caribbean governments
- African American cultural leaders and entertainers
- Churches and mosques
- Schools and grassroots organizations
…to carry this flame of truth, unity, and honor, and to demand updated documentaries, history books, and teachings that reflect the declassified truth.
This is more than symbolism. This is a redemption movement.
🕊️ Francis Fagjot John adds:
“This isn’t just about a posthumous honor. It’s a spiritual responsibility—to close a painful chapter, bring peace to the King family, and renew the soul of America. We pray this award marks the beginning of deeper truth-telling, racial reconciliation, and spiritual healing. Let the dream finally rest in peace—and rise in global unity.”
