PROPAGANDA CAN’T GROW CROPS- ONLY LEADERSHIP CAN. KADUNA FARMERS KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.

From a modest ₦1.48 billion in 2023 to over ₦100 billion in the 2026 budget, Governor Uba Sani has made a bold, people-focused decision: to invest massively in agriculture, where the impact is direct and felt by our citizens.

With agriculture contributing over 42% to Kaduna’s GDP and employing a vast majority of the workforce, this is not just spending, it is strategic leadership. It is a clear understanding that food security is security, and that empowering farmers is the fastest way to grow the economy from the grassroots.

By committing over 11% of the state budget to agriculture, Kaduna has set the pace nationally, becoming a leading subnational government in Nigeria to surpass the 10% Malabo Declaration benchmark.

But beyond the figures, the real story is on the ground:

  • Unprecedented Free Inputs: Across recent farming seasons, over 900 trucks of fertilizer have been distributed free of charge to smallholder farmers, alongside critical support equipment including tractors, power tillers, water pumping machines, and herbicide sprayers to reduce cost burdens and increase productivity.
  • Targeted 2026 Interventions: The government continues to scale up its commitment, approving thousands of metric tonnes of free fertilizer distribution to smallholder farmers across all 23 Local Government Areas, boosting subsistence farming and strengthening food security statewide.
  • Risk Mitigation & Insurance: Enrolling thousands of smallholder farmers into comprehensive crop risk insurance schemes to protect them against losses from pests, diseases, and extreme weather linked to climate change.

These are not promises. These are results. While others play politics, Governor Uba Sani is focused on performance, empowering farmers, supporting rural communities, and building a resilient agricultural economy.

This is how you grow Kaduna.

This is how you fight poverty.

This is leadership that delivers.

When agriculture wins, Kaduna wins.
