Open Letter to the Vice President Kashim Shettima by Kalthoum Alumbe Jitami

People of Hausaland Nigeria.
Your Excellency Sir,
We refer to your recent comments over the appointments you made which by no doubts were in the interests of the good people of Nigeria.
Your advocate that position of Senate President be moved to the South of Nigeria, in the spirit of fairness and equity, is patriotic and laudable. Opposition to this by self-seeking and self-serving Northern individuals or groups notwithstanding .
Notable of these unpatriotic individuals and groups are the Fulani Political Elites, whose stock in trade is manipulation of ethnicity and religion to cause anarchy, as their means of political power bargain. They have already started by saying that you are working against Islam and Muslims. This is the very antics they used unrestrained under Buhari’s government which consequences Nigerians are suffering from until today and it is now the burden of your government that you must tackle.
To their utter disappointment and shame a Southern Christian has emerged elected as President of the 10th Senate. Congratulations to you on this achievement.
We, as the native indigenous people of Hausaland identify with you as a person and Kanuri who are fellow natives of Northern Nigeria and support you unreservedly and have your back as you strive to return this country back to normalcy regardless of who’s ever ox is goad.
Accordingly, we would strongly advice that you be wary of the Fulani Political Elites and their Antics as follows:
1. The Fulani remain unrelenting of their agenda to take over Nigeria and convert it to a Fulani owned country by all means. They never supported the Tinubu and Shettima Presidential Project. Their Imams and Ulamas were all over the place blackmailing both of you and undermining your campaigns, but they campaigned for Atiku Abubakar who was expected to continue with their fulanization agenda. It has all along been we the Hausas that neutralized them and ensured your victory at the polls in the northern states.
They would do anything humanly possible to discredit and undermine your government: let nobody deceive you.
2. The insecurity, insurgency, terrorism, banditry, killings, rapes, displacement of persons, etc; that has become the lots of Borno state particularly, northern, and southern Nigeria in general; are masterminded by the Fulani. You may recall that the first leader of Boko Haram Yusuf Mohammed was a student of Buba Marwa Mai-tatsine. And that Buba Marwa Mai-tatsine was a ‘Fulani-Muslim Scholar’. Abubakar Shekau (though a Kanuri man) who led Boko Haram after Yusuf confirmed this, when he declared that he was propagating Usman Danfodiyo’s ideologies.
Above all, one of the Fulani Political Elites: Mallam Nasir El Rufai the immediate former governor of Kaduna State confirmed in a recent video gone viral, the very existence of the above said Fulani agenda which execution has taken roots in Kaduna State under his own government, and their collective determination to establish same across Nigeria. He said this much while speaking in Hausa Language in the video, he was clearly seen and heard speaking to and thanking a group of Fulani Muslim Clerics (Imams and Ulamas) before him, whom he credited with having helped him in achieving the said agenda in the state. And solicited for their continued support in continuation of the agenda until the entire Nigeria is covered.
It is worthy of note that, the Kanuri Clerics and Political Elites and the governments of Borno under your exemplary self and other past governors of the Borno state; were all out in condemnation and fight against Boko Haram but on the contrary, those Fulani governors of other northern states like El Rufai and the other Fulani governors including their Clerics, Political Elites and Monarchs were silent over the same Boko Haram, and Fulani herdsmen Banditry and Terrorism. When they spoke belatedly: they made excuses to justify them and supported them in various forms.
3. Going by the antecedents of the Fulani Elites, Clerics and Monarchs, it goes without saying that they would do anything to undermine your government.
YOU MUST THEREFORE BE WARY AND ENSURE THAT YOU LEAVE NOTHING TO CHANCE FOR THE GOOD AND SUCCESS OF YOUR GOVERNMENT.
