In a significant boost to renewable energy initiatives in Zambia, HOPe Care Services USA has raised $50,000 for Mega Energy Zambia ongoing project. This generous addition, aimed at funding miniature solar kits and panels with flexible payment plan in 24 months, was presented during the vibrant annual ethnic diplomatic ball held at the KC Sheraton in Kansas City.

HOPe Care Services, a Kansas City-based consortium specializing in solar solutions, has long championed African renewable energy. The organization not only advocates for sustainable energy but also facilitates the procurement of necessary equipment, parts, and kits through flexible payment solutions backed by comprehensive financial safeguards, including sovereign guarantees and banking facilities.

Mega Energy Zambia, renowned for its professionalism and dedication, has over 5,000 vetted individuals awaiting service. This funding aims to alleviate some of the burdens caused by frequent power outages and contribute to the overall development of Zambia’s rapidly growing economy. The funds will support the installation of solar systems featuring battery storage, cellphone charging ports, bulb outlets, and integrated radios, enhancing the daily lives of many in both urban and rural areas.

At the check presentation ceremony, attended by hundreds from various cultural and diversity groups, the Executive Director of HOPe Care Services handed over the $50,000 check to Mr. Musanu, the Managing Director of Mega Energy. Overwhelmed with gratitude, Mr. Musanu praised HOPe Care Services for their continued support and commitment to Mega Energy’s vision. He emphasized the profound impact this funding would have on improving service delivery and expanding renewable energy access throughout Zambia. He added, “We will maintain our collaboration with organized cooperatives and verified civil servants, utilizing structures that facilitate direct deposit payments.

Engr Francis John highlighted the ongoing efforts to secure additional funding for future phases, which could amount to a substantial $60 million investment. This initiative is expected to spur the interest of various stakeholders, including the Zambia Diaspora Chamber of Commerce, International Finance Corporation, and numerous solar financial institutions.
