HOPe Africa Launches Zambia–USA Monthly Birthday Initiative for Vulnerable Communities
Kansas City, USA / Lusaka, Zambia
HOPe Africa, a United Nations ECOSOC-affiliated humanitarian organization, is proud to announce the launch of a Monthly Birthday Celebration Initiative in partnership with Providence Home in Lusaka, Zambia.
This innovative program will celebrate vulnerable individuals whose birthdays fall within each month through a collective end-of-month event featuring cakes, cards, and refreshments. The initiative promotes dignity, inclusion, emotional well-being, and community unity.
The program will be coordinated locally by Delphine Lengwe, a respected humanitarian advocate known for her commitment to equality and non-discrimination.

The Zambia Diaspora Chamber of Commerce (ZDCC) will provide advisory and supervisory support, ensuring transparency, accountability, and sustainability.
Media organizations are invited to participate in coverage to support documentation, visibility, and stakeholder engagement.
This pilot initiative marks a significant step in strengthening Zambia–United States humanitarian relations, with plans to expand across Africa.
