Global Faith and Unity Celebrated at Kansas City’s “Procession of the Nations” Event
Kansas City, MO – This past Saturday, the city witnessed a vibrant and spirit-filled gathering as the annual “Procession of the Nations” event took place, uniting hundreds in a powerful display of cultural diversity and Christian fellowship. The event was well-attended, filled with heartfelt praises and worship, and marked by a profound sense of global interconnectivity.
With approximately 500 attendees from various denominations and countries, the atmosphere was both colorful and highly impactful. The event was organized with exceptional precision, fostering an environment where the Holy Spirit moved freely among participants. Attendees were inspired by spirit-filled motivational speakers who underscored themes of unity, hope, and divine purpose.
A notable presence at the event was Francis John, PhD, the Executive Director of hope africaintl.org (headquartered in Kansas City since 2011), who represented Mr. Freud Musanu of the Zambia Diaspora Chamber of Commerce (ZDCC). Mr. Musanu, though unavoidably absent due to his attendance at Zambia’s Independence and Commemoration celebrations, was ably represented by Dr. John, who conveyed his full apologies and warm greetings to the gathering.

Dr. John utilized the opportunity to meet with Mark Davis, Program Director of the KC Trauma Healing Ministry and Event Coordinator for the Celebration of the Nations in KC. During their interaction, Dr. John familiarized himself with the event’s vision and reinforced the commitment to collaboration between HOPe Africa and local initiatives. He also socialized with other key participants, including Maria Tutu, a pioneer of Her Fortress Charity, who represented the nation of Sudan. As a first-time participant, Ms. Tutu expressed enthusiasm for the event and explored further collaborations with HOPe Africa to advance their shared missions.

Upon reporting the event’s success to the President of ZDCC, Mr. Musanu expressed excitement at the representation of Zambia and pledged not to miss next year’s gathering. He reaffirmed his commitment to positioning Zambia as a peaceful, hospitable nation open to business, investment, and tourism, and looks forward to communicating the event’s outcomes to relevant ministries and departments in Zambia to ensure an even larger presence next year.

Event Procession Details:
Under the coordination of Pastor Gina Houston, participants gathered in the gym, where countries lined up in alphabetical order. Each group carried visible country name signs and followed stage directions from the Processional Team, ensuring a smooth and unified flow. The procession symbolized a powerful celebration of global unity in Christ, with participants exiting the stage gracefully and joining the audience to enjoy the remainder of the program.
The event not only celebrated cultural diversity but also strengthened bonds within the citywide Body of Christ, maximizing kingdom impact through shared faith and collaborative action.
