Aziki Charity Foundation Empowers 150 Widows in Jaji with Free Medical Care and Business Grants
JAJI, KADUNA STATE – The Aziki Charity Foundation has successfully concluded its highly anticipated end-of-year outreach, “Operation Jaji Homecoming,” impacting the lives of over 150 widows and elderly women in the Jaji military community and its environs.

The program, which was held on Monday, December 29, 2025, marked a shift from traditional charity to holistic empowerment, focusing on health, economic sustainability, and emotional healing.
According to the organizers, the outreach was inspired by the life of the foundation’s matriarch, Mrs. Cathrine Madaki, whose birthday was celebrated intimately the day prior following a thanksgiving service at the Assemblies of God Church, Jaji, officiated by Pastor Nnamdi Kalu.
Holistic Healthcare Intervention
The event kicked off at 2:00 PM with a robust medical intervention led by Dr. Haruna and a team of medical volunteers. With the rising cost of healthcare, many elderly women in the community had gone months without proper checks. The team provided free screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and malaria, offering on-the-spot consultations and health advice on maintaining a healthy lifestyle despite age-related challenges.
Economic Empowerment Over Handouts
Departing from the usual model of simply distributing food, the Aziki Charity Foundation emphasized long-term financial independence. Mrs. Faith Adeyemi facilitated a business training session titled “20 Businesses You Can Start with Zero Capital.”
To ensure the lessons stuck, the foundation distributed free copies of its newly published book, The Startup Guide, equipping the women with the knowledge to generate income and reduce dependency.
Emotional Healing and Spiritual Support
The highlight of the event was the emotional healing session, where widows were given the platform to voice their struggles. Pastor Faith Adeyemi delivered a charge on “4 Ways to Move Forward,” urging the women to embrace forgiveness, trust in God, turn their pain into a message, and prioritize the training of their children.
The spiritual session included prayers for the sick and a special intercession for the safe release of a kidnapped relative of one of the attendees.
Grand Finale
The outreach concluded with the distribution of food packages, wrappers, and relief materials to all 150 attendees, followed by a session of dance and celebration.
Speaking on the success of the event, the Foundation expressed profound gratitude to its partners, volunteers, and Dominion City Church for their support in making “Operation Jaji Homecoming” a reality.
”We believe that Christ is the husband of the widow,” a representative stated. “Our goal today was not just to feed them for a day, but to give them the health and knowledge to live with dignity for a lifetime.”
