Worn Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has described his emergence because the Oloja of Lagos-elect as a solemn name to provider, one which comes with deep cultural and communal responsibilities.

Kosoko, 72, became formally equipped as Oloja-elect on January 24 at the palace of the Elereko of Lagos, marking a first-rate new segment in his public lifestyles past the movie industry.

Speaking to journalists on Friday, the actor expressed pleasure over the enchancment, stating that he considers his preference neatly-deserved. However, he didn’t point as to if the passe role would have an effect on his acting occupation.

Reacting to the announcement, Nollywood actor and theatre practitioner Bolaji Amusan, popularly identified as Mr Latin, congratulated Kosoko, describing the appointment as proof that practitioners within the inventive industry are disciplined, responsible, and associated contributors to society.

“Jide is just not the correct prince in Lagos or within the Kosoko family, however due to his intelligence and respect within the neighborhood, he became chosen as Oloja of Lagos,” Amusan said.
