Introduction
Esteemed guests, distinguished officials, and fellow entrepreneurs,
It is both an honor and a privilege to address you today at the ZDCC International Business Exchange Conference. As we gather under the theme “Redefining Diaspora: Connecting Businesses & Unlocking Zambia’s Economic Potential,” we stand at the cusp of a transformative era for Zambia and the broader African continent. The convergence of technology and innovation presents unprecedented opportunities to propel our economies forward, foster inclusive growth, and position Zambia as a beacon of digital excellence.

The Digital Landscape in Zambia
Zambia’s digital transformation journey has been marked by significant strides. The government’s commitment to creating a favorable environment for digital commerce is evident through initiatives like the National Financial Inclusion Strategy and the ICT Policy. These efforts have laid the groundwork for a burgeoning e-commerce sector, enabling small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to access broader markets and integrate into the global digital economy.

However, challenges persist. A notable concern is the monetization of social media platforms. Despite a high engagement rate, with 90% of Zambians active on social media, many content creators find themselves unable to monetize their efforts due to restrictive platform policies and limited local advertising markets. This situation not only stifles creativity but also hampers potential income streams that could contribute significantly to the national economy.

Empowering Content Creators and Businesses
Addressing these challenges requires a multifaceted approach:
- Policy Advocacy: The recent motion adopted by the Zambian Parliament to facilitate social media monetization is a commendable step. However, translating this motion into actionable policies demands continuous engagement with platform providers to ensure that Zambian creators can monetize their content effectively.
- Infrastructure Development: Enhancing digital payment systems and integrating them with global platforms will enable seamless transactions, making it easier for creators and businesses to receive payments and engage in cross-border trade.
- Education and Capacity Building: Equipping creators and entrepreneurs with the necessary skills to navigate the digital landscape is crucial. This includes training in digital marketing, content creation, and understanding platform algorithms to maximize reach and engagement.

Introducing EmailsExist and GPTExist
In response to these challenges and opportunities, we are proud to introduce EmailsExist and GPTExist—two platforms designed to revolutionize the digital experience for Zambian businesses and content creators.
- EmailsExist: A comprehensive email management system that ensures secure, reliable, and efficient communication for businesses of all sizes. By providing domain registration, hosting services, and professional email solutions, EmailsExist empowers businesses to establish a robust online presence.

- GPTExist: An AI-driven platform that facilitates website development and management. Leveraging cutting-edge technology, GPTExist enables users to create dynamic, responsive, and user-friendly websites without the need for extensive technical expertise.

Recognizing the potential within the Zambian market, we are offering a 75% subsidy on domain registration and hosting services. This initiative aims to lower the barriers to entry for businesses and individuals seeking to establish or enhance their digital footprint.
Opportunities for Growth
The integration of technology into business operations opens up a plethora of opportunities:
- Affiliate Marketing: By partnering with global brands, Zambian entrepreneurs can earn commissions through referrals, tapping into international markets and diversifying income streams.
- Business-to-Business (B2B) Development: Facilitated networking sessions, like the one we have today, are instrumental in forging partnerships, joint ventures, and collaborative projects that drive mutual growth.
- Franchising: Embracing franchising models allows for the replication of successful business concepts, fostering entrepreneurship and job creation across the country.

Commitment to Zambia
We are excited to announce our plans to establish an operational office in Lusaka in the coming months. This office will serve as a hub for our regional operations, providing localized support, training, and resources. We are committed to investing in local talent and will soon commence the recruitment process. Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their resumes as we embark on this journey together.
Conclusion
The path to unlocking Zambia’s economic potential lies in embracing digital transformation, fostering innovation, and creating an ecosystem that supports and empowers its people. By redefining the role of the diaspora, connecting businesses, and leveraging technology, we can build a future that is prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable.
Let us seize this moment to collaborate, innovate, and drive Zambia towards a brighter digital future.
