UBA SANI: THE YOUTHS’ GOVERNOR!!!

In a country where youths make up nearly 70% of the population, leadership that prioritizes them is not optional, it is essential. In Kaduna State, that leadership is exemplified by His Excellency, Senator Dr. Uba Sani, CON, a Governor whose actions have consistently placed young people at the center of governance.

Despite inheriting significant domestic and foreign debt burdens, Governor Uba Sani chose decisive action over excuses. From day one, his administration has focused on empowering youths through practical, measurable initiatives that are already reshaping the future of Kaduna State.

A clear demonstration of this commitment is the creation of the Ministry for Youth Development, the first ever, in Kaduna State, elevating youth affairs to a core priority. By appointing a young professional, Barrister Gloria Ibrahim, as Commissioner, he has reinforced his belief in youth inclusion and female leadership.

His administration established state-of-the-art Technology Skills Acquisition Centres across the three geopolitical zones, equipped with modern facilities and industry-relevant training. These centres, named after respected past leaders, Balarabe Musa, Sir Patrick Yakowa, and Colonel Dangiwa Umar (Rtd), serve as hubs for innovation and opportunity.

In education, Governor Uba Sani facilitated the take-off of the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, expanding access to quality, technology-driven learning for thousands of youths.

In security and employment, over 1,100 Forest Guards trained by the Nigerian Navy, Boat Services and Department of State Security Services have been engaged in collaboration with the Federal Government, while more than 7,000 youths and women accross the 23 Local Government Areas are now gainfully employed under the Kaduna Vigilante Service (KADVIS), strengthening both livelihoods and community safety.

Recognizing the importance of sports in youth development, the administration is aggressively renovating the Ahmadu Bello Stadium and transforming the Ranchers Bees Stadium into a world-class facility. In addition, the revival of Kaduna United Football Club has restored pride and created new opportunities for young talents in the state.

In agriculture, the distribution of over 1,500 trucks of fertilizers, alongside tractors, improved seedlings, and irrigation tools, has empowered thousands of young people to participate in modern farming, creating jobs and boosting food security.

Governor Uba Sani’s leadership is defined by inclusivity, unity, and forward-thinking policies. His investments in skills, education, security, and sports reflect a holistic approach to youth empowerment, one that equips young people not just to survive, but to thrive.

Today, Kaduna youths are more engaged, more empowered, and more hopeful. This is the hallmark of a leader who understands that the future belongs to them, and is actively building it.

Governor Uba Sani has proven himself not just as a friend of the youth, but as their Governor, a leader committed to their growth, success, and prosperity.
