‘Calls for suspension of Tinubu’s swearing-in unnecessary’

The President, National Patriotic Elders’ Dialogue board of Nigeria, Dr Bature AbdulAziz has disregarded these calling for the suspension of swearing-in of the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, announcing they are ignorant of the law.
AbdulAziz suggested journalists in Kano on Saturday that the renewed calls for the suspension of swearing-in of the president-elect can also destabilise the country.
He stated: “Some folks are ignorantly talking referring to the swearing-in of the president-elect, Bola Tinubu in spite of the provisions of the Nigeria Constitution and the rules. The subject is in court and clearly outlined by the law.

He stated the law permitted the president-elect and any governor-elect to proceed with the swearing-in whereas the case is still in court.
