Breaking: DSS confirms Emefiele’s arrest

The Division of Bid Services (DSS) has confirmed the arrest of suspended Central Financial institution of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Godwin Emefiele.

PM NEWS had on Friday reported the arrest of Emefiele by DSS rapidly after he became suspended by President Bola Tinubu.

Nonetheless on Saturday, the Services, on its Twitter contend with mentioned Emefiele became not in its custody.

The agency later confirmed the arrest after its initial denial.

The legitimate assertion from the DSS reads: “The Division of Bid Services (DSS) hereby confirms that Mr Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Financial institution of Nigeria (CBN) is now in its custody for some investigative causes.

“The public, in particular the Media, is enjoined to appear at utmost warning in the reportage and narratives relating to this.”
