The first batch of 376 Nigerian college students stranded in battle-torn Sudan to find arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe World Airport, Abuja.

The college students came aboard Air Peace airplane from Egypt. The college students had been stranded on the boarder of Egypt after they escaped from Sudan.

The airplane landed instant while to 12 dull evening at the airport.

Earlier than their arrival, Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Payment, Abike Dabiri-Erewa had said the airplane would land in Abuja around 11:23pm on Wednesday.

She had tweeted: “In the end , homeward certain because the NAF C-130H airplane has departed Aswan and is predicted to the touch down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport Abuja by 2340hrs (11.23pm) tonight.#Sudan . We pray for bound mercies.”

Also, it used to be learnt that the second batch of Nigerian college students stranded in Sudan to find additionally arrived because the Nigerian Air Power airplane arrived the airport rapidly after the air peace airplane.

An armed battle between rival factions of the militia authorities of Sudan began on 15 April 2023. It started when clashes broke out in western Sudan, within the capital city of Khartoum, and within the Darfur space.
