Assault: Police IG, Alkali Baba orders immediate arrest, prosecution of Seun Kuti
The Inspector-Classic of Police, IGP, Usman Alkali Baba, has ordered the rapid arrest of afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti.
Alkali Baba directed the Lagos Direct Police Commissioner to arrest the entertainer.
He gave the command following Seun’s assault on a police officer.
DAILY POST reported that the Grammy-nominated afrobeat singer used to be captured in a viral video assaulting a police operative in uniform.
A terse assertion by the Power spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, equally ordered a “posthaste and stout investigation into the a long way away and rapid causes of the assault and prosecution of the suspect accordingly.”
The assertion reads: “IGP Usman Alkali Baba assures Nigerians that acts of contempt/disdain for symbols of authority is doubtlessly now not tolerated while offenders of such ghastly crimes will more than doubtless be with out a doubt brought to e book.”
