APC wins supplementary election for Kankia constituency of Katsina State

The Impartial National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Salisu Rimaye of the All Progressives Congress (APC), because the winner of Saturday’s supplementary election for the Kankia constituency of Katsina Converse.
INEC Returning Officer, Dr Kamaluddeen Kabo of the Federal University, Dutsinma declared the quit lead to Kankia.
Kabo mentioned Rimaye scored 18, 157 votes to beat Abdullahi Ibrahim of the Peoples Democratic Occasion (PDP) who polled 16, 763 votes.
He mentioned the full different of registered voters used to be 78, 224 while 37, 030 were authorised and the full legit vote used to be 35, 037.
511 votes were rejected, while the full votes solid were 35, 548.
“I Dr Kamaladdeen Kabo, the Returning officer for the Kankia, Converse Constituency election, held on April 15, 2023, hereby certify that Salisu Rimaye of APC, having contented the requirements of the law, is hereby declared the winner and returned elected,” he mentioned.
